CONTAGIOUS JOY!
Our family has started a little project called “Contagious Joy”! We are inviting you to join us in this new adventure! We have been so blessed by the care our daughter, Jolynn has received from Penn State Children's Hospital over the past several years that we are committing to give back by making monthly donations to their Child Life Program. Our Contagious Joy Challenge for February 2012 is to collect new FUZZY POSTERS for children at Penn State Children's Hospital. Please join us in donating needed activity items to the Child Life Program at Penn State Children's Hospital in Hershey, PA. The Child Life Program is in need of Fuzzy posters for their child and teen patients! They are really in need of fuzzy posters that are geared towards boys and also posters for older teens as well. Also any drawing activities that you think an older teen would be interested in, would be great as well. All items must be new! If you are planning to donate items, please have your items to us by Sunday February 19, 2012. I will plan on making a delivery to Penn State Children's Hospital the week of February 20th. Every year around Christmas, Cross Roads Church sponsors a "Priceless Gift Shoppe," featuring free necessity items for needy folks in our area. In 2011 we filled 135 bags for a long line of people on Dec. 10, with such things as toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, laundry soap, fabric softeners and so forth.
The 2012 goal is to fill 150 bags with 20 different items. Donations can be made to the Kitchen on any day. Contact Jan Bechtold for details and other information at 492-9793.
